A Wagoner County Jail escapee is back in custody. Charles Moore, Junior was captured about 8:40 AM Tuesday in Haskell.
Authorities say they found him hiding in an abandoned trailer behind a home. They were able to take him back into custody without incident. He is now being housed at the state penitentiary in McAlester.
Moore is a prisoner at the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite, but he was in the Wagoner County jail waiting for a court appearance Wednesday for an attempted escape.
The Wagoner County Sheriff Office says Moore used a homemade knife to overpower a jailer at 1 AM Monday, then escaped through a kitchen door and ran off.
