ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Police in Enid are investigating the near drowning of an 18-month-old boy in a private pool this weekend.

Enid police say the 18-month-old was his 3-year-old brother Saturday when the baby ended up in the pool. The children's mother and a neighbor pulled the child from the pool and began performing CPR.

The child was eventually flown by helicopter to Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Police did not release the names of the child or his mother since the incident is under investigation.

Sergeant Greg Bergdall says both children are in the custody of the Department of Human Services.
