TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A vote by Boeing union members in Tulsa and McAlester on whether to accept a contract from the prospective buyer of the plants is being delayed.

The vote was scheduled for Thursday but Boeing spokesman Steve Hendrickson in Tulsa says it will be postponed until after Memorial Day. Hendrickson says he doesn't know when the vote will be held.

A union spokesman wasn't immediately available for comment.

Onex Corporation is proposing to buy the plants and one in Wichita, Kansas, in a $900-million deal and has said a new contract that includes pay and benefits cuts is vital.

Union members at the Wichita plant voted Tuesday to reject the contract and Onex officials said they would review their options.
