OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Senator Jim Inhofe is trying again to get congressional honors for tribal code talkers of World Wars One and Two.

The Navajo code talkers were honored two years ago, but not other tribes.

Inhofe is reintroducing legislation to award a Congressional Commemorative Medal to code talkers from the Choctaw, Comanche and other tribes.

Inhofe says 18 members of the Choctaw Nation were recruited during World War One and became the first to use their native language to deliver coded messages during war. And he says 14 members of the Comanche Tribe did the same during World War Two.
