An Israeli sculpture was dedicated to the Tulsa community Saturday.

The "Open Gate" was erected at Liberator's Park on the Zarrow Campus earlier this week. Today it was dedicated in memory of Holocaust Liberators and those who were freed from their nazi captors.

Sculpture engineer Mark Lobo: "So we conceived an idea to make an open gate, which is the gate that was closed. One gate post still has a confined bird in it, the second gate post is turned 90 degrees opened and the bird is now free."

Israeli artist Meirav Cohen designed the sculpture. Festival Israel was also today to celebrate Israel's Memorial and Independence Day.
