A Tulsa burglar faces charges after he was caught in the act. In fact, Tulsa Police say his car was filled with so much stolen loot; he barely had enough room to get in and drive.
Burglary detectives are sorting through everything, trying to get it back to the victims. They say they've been trying to catch this burglar for weeks because he's broken into as many as five houses a day.
After a burglary in the Maple Ridge area, an officer spotted a loaded-down car and figured the suspect must be close. Tulsa Police Sgt Rick Bondy: "I hid my car nearby and hid in a bush and a few minutes later, I heard a house alarm go off and then he was running through a backyard with a safe in one arm and a pillowcase full of loot in the other."
Officers arrested 25 year old Markis Lahmeyer. Detectives suspect him in dozens of break-ins.
