Quick action by a security guard saves a man from a fire.

It happened at the Park View Terrace at 61st and Union just after midnight. A security guard patrolling the complex noticed smoke. He managed to get the man out of the apartment before firefighters arrived.

The man was OK, but went to the hospital to be checked out. It appears the fire started in the kitchen.
