A Tulsa teacher receives big honors for her dedication to students. Africa Beaty received the "Sam's Club" teacher of the year award Tuesday afternoon.

She teaches at Tulsa's Academy Central Elementary School. As part of her award, the school gets a thousand dollar grant in her honor. "Every day I come to work and I don't expect anything like this. I just come for them. My students mean everything to me and I just never expected this."

Along with her other goodies, Beaty also received an honorary "Wal-Mart" vest.
