OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A political battle continues in the state Senate as Republican Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin tried again Monday to preside over the state Senate and Democrats refused to attend the session.
Fallin and Republicans are trying to force a vote on a Republican-backed bill to reform workers' compensation laws.
Democrats call the act a ``political stunt'' and say workers' comp reform should be worked out in a House-Senate conference committee.
After Monday's effort by Fallin to preside over the state Senate she adjourned the session for the day.
Democrats hold a 26-to-22 majority in the state Senate and 25 members must be present in order to conduct business.
