An investigation is underway into the drowning death of a young boy at an Osage County lake.

The 3-year old boy drowned late Saturday in Lake Blue Stem which is northwest of Pawhuska. The toddler was transported to a Tulsa hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the boy's name or the circumstances of his death.
