Teaching children healthy living. News on 6 anchor LeAnne Taylor has this report.

We've heard a lot about childhood obesity and the growing number of children who aren't getting the proper exercise. But it's been shown, when you start kids early with healthy lifestyles it will carry on into adulthood. The exercise doesn't have to be complicated; things like skipping rope, or doing a somersault are ways to get your heart rate up. And parents are encouraged to participate as well.

That's why Southcrest Wellness Center is hosting Fun Family Fitness and Obstacle Course as a way to show kids and parents the variety of exercise to consider. So you're invited to check it out Monday evening at 6:30 at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center at 68th and Mingo call 294-DOCS for more information.

Because a family who plays together stays healthy together!
