Tulsa Police are still searching for the man who shot a teenager in south Tulsa. Investigators say the 17 year-old boy was going into his garage to feed his cat when he apparently surprised a burglar.

The suspect fired one shot, hitting the teen in the stomach. The victim managed to stumble back into the house in the 6500 block of South Troost Avenue and call for an ambulance. The shooter ran off.

Tulsa Police Cpl Scott Anderson: "He couldn't give us a good description, but apparently the person shot him in the stomach area, one shot."

Investigators say the teen was the only person home at the time. He's expected to be released from the hospital.

The shooter is described as a young black man, around 17 to 22 years old, wearing a brown shirt.
