A big revitalization project is just getting started in what some residents call a forgotten part of Tulsa.

Tuesday, the Greater Conerstone Community Development Project announced its mission to improve the South Haven Community will a brand new community center. The site at 5610 South 41st West Avenue was dedicated by unveiling the master plan for the community center, a new church sanctuary, and education center.

Willard Jones: "They did have a swimming pool in this area and it was taken away. We will have a senior citizens services, a food bank, and clothing distribution, a job referral ceter, it goes on and on. It's a tremendous center."

Greater Conerstone Baptist Church financed the land purchase for the project.
