MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A former Muskogee County deputy and her daughter are being ordered to stand trial on felony charges of helping hide a child.
Brenda Kay Ellis and April Muskrat are accused of helping hide Shannon Luster and 4-year-old Christyn Luster from Texas authorities. A Texas judge had terminated Shannon Luster's parental rights and awarded custody of the child to her paternal grandparents.
Former Eufaula Police Chief Larry Osmond and his wife Carol are charged with child stealing in the case and Larry Osmond faces a perjury charge.
Carol Osmond is Shannon Luster's mother and Larry Osmond is her stepfather.
