OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Retired state Rep. Elmer Maddux is back in the hospital suffering from heart problems, his wife said.
The Mooreland resident and heart transplant candidate was admitted Friday to Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Maddux was listed in good condition Sunday night, Integris spokeswoman Kresta Logan said.
``His heart is just getting pretty weak and he can't breathe,'' Rita Maddux told the Woodward News. ``He'll be here all weekend, but beyond that, we just don't know.''
Elmer Maddux is awaiting a heart transplant after being placed on the recipient waiting list in March, Rita Maddux said. He initially was hospitalized in November, just hours after officially retiring as a state representative at midnight on Nov. 17.
