The FBI has trailed a serial robbery suspect to Tulsa and believed they had him pinned down in an early Sunday morning standoff. The News on 6 was the only TV station on the scene Sunday morning.

Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies found the suspect's girlfriend sleeping in a car a few blocks away. She pointed them to this Tulsa motel where deputies waited for the right moment to break in.

Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy Cpl Scott Vickers: "We figured out which room he was in, entered the room and he wasn't at the scene, so we moved on, and we're still looking for him."

The FBI says the man they're looking for is a suspect in several robberies across the Midwest. Daniel William Murphy is a white man in his fifties. He's about 6 feet tall, and weighs 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Murphy is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call the Sheriff's Office at 596-9222.
