Eddie Phoenix was the youngest of seven children. And his older sister says there was never a dull moment when he was around.
Cynthia White: "Eddie was always joking around... hard worker...hard worker."
Eddie Phoenix worked at the "This and That" hardware store on North Lewis. And this is where his life ended. Police found Phoenix and the store owner, Zach Jones, shot and killed in the back of the hardware store Friday morning.
Cynthia White, Victim's Sister: "We kind of feel like our family's been robbed…we been robbed. My mother has been robbed of her baby son. I've been robbed of my brother."
Cynthia White says her brother worked at the hardware store for four years and never had any problems. She says her brother and Zach Jones were friends and she feels for the Jones family.
Cynthia White, Victim's Sister: "My heart goes out to his family also because I know they're experiencing what we're experiencing. They're going through what we're going through. And I know they didn't have a good night last night. Cause we didn't."
Eddie Phoenix's family says they don't know why this happened. But they need your help to find the man responsible.
Cynthia White, Victim's Sister: "If you know the guy or you've seen him or you've seen anything call the officials and let them know what you know because this guy needs to be found."
Nothing will replace their baby brother but they want to see justice served.
Cynthia White, Victim's Sister: "And the way he died is just not fair. and this guy needs to be punished. We forgive em...we forgive em...but he needs to turn himself in."
