OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Federal Communications Commission wants public input on a proposed radio station shuffle that would affect Wilburton, Okemah and McAlester.

The new owners of five radio stations in southeastern Oklahoma have filed a request to build a new radio tower south of Okemah. The community of license for radio station KESCFM would change from Wilburton to Okemah under the proposal.

The proposal also would change the community of license for station KMCOFM from McAlester to Wilburton to offset Wilburton's loss. McAlester has several other stations that would remain licensed in that city.

Richard Parrish is one of the new owners.

Parrish says there are no plans to move the broadcast studio for KESCFM from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, nor will KMCOFM's broadcast studio leave McAlester.

The FCC is considering whether former state Senator Gene Stipe should have been required to forfeit the station licenses, rather than profit from selling them after his 2003 guilty plea to perjury and obstructing an FCC probe.
