OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A national publication ranks the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa as one of the best medical schools in the nation.
US News and World Report listed the school as part of its ``2006 Best Graduate Schools Guide,'' which measures graduate schools in fields such as law, business and medicine.
OSU placed 11th in rural medicine and 16th in family medicine among the nation's 144 medical schools. The rankings are based on opinions and data collected from academic deans, program directors and senior faculty.
The magazine also ranked OSU's Occupational Education Studies program at the Stillwater campus 10th nationally.
OSU President David Schmidly says the quality of the school's faculty, students and graduates has never been better.
