Residents of Owasso are looking forward to a new family facility. The YMCA broke ground Monday on a new state-of-the-art fitness center and year-round indoor pool.

The new center will provide many other amenities, including a special needs area, expanded Child Care, and a Summer Day Camp complete with a computer lab.

Susan Plank with the YMCA: "The new building will be situated right in front of the old building, existing facility, expanding that."

The YMCA believes the new facility will double the number of members and program participants served.

The new center will be up and running within the next year.
