TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A Tulsa County judge says there is enough evidence to try a transient on murder charges in the beating death of a Tulsa bar owner.
Terry Badgwell was bound over for trial on charges of murder in the death last June of bar owner Shawn Howard and an assault charge in the beating of bar manager Josh Martin.
Badgwell was indicted by a grand jury after prosecutors declined to charge Badgwell, saying it appeared he acted in self-defense.
Howard's family pushed for the grand jury investigation.
