Another patient who's in a persistent vegetative state like Shiavo is in Tulsa, thanks to volunteers with Wings of Hope.
Terry Goodson was flown to Jones Riverside Airport Wednesday and then taken to a Tulsa hospital for specialized care. The hospital contacted Wings of Hope because Goodson's family couldn't afford the transportation cost and Wings of Hope is the only air ambulance equipped for any kind of patient.
Delia Greer with Wings of Hope: "They are very grateful, always happy and always grateful for our service, because it's free. I'm free, the pilot is free, and the plane is free. So our service is very important to those in dire need."
Wings of Hope has 148 bases in 40 countries including here in the US and transports up to 400 patients a year.
