OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission will send a letter to the attorney of a supervisor whose conduct is being investigated.

Commission members met in executive session for more than two hours yesterday to discuss allegations involving Mike Easley but took no action.

ABLE Executive Director Keith Burt confirmed that a letter regarding Easley's employment had been sent to his lawyer, but he said he couldn't specify what was said in it.

State Merit Protection Rules require that a classified employee be notified at least seven days before a pre-termination hearing.

Easley's time sheets show he claimed to be working on about 25 nights last fall when he actually was teaching two law enforcement classes at Bacone College in Muskogee.

The ABLE Commission also has been investigating whether Easley drove his state vehicle from Claremore to Muskogee for the classes and used his state Pikepass.

Each of the allegations is a potential state law violation.

Easley's attorney says his client hasn't violated any ABLE policies or state laws.
