NEW YORK (AP) _ CNN founder Ted Turner won't seek re-election to Time Warner Inc.'s board this year, the media giant said Friday.
Turner, said in a statement that he has decided to leave the board ``after much deliberation'' and has enjoyed working with Time Warner Chief Executive Dick Parsons and the rest of the company's team.
Turner will serve as director until Time Warner's annual shareholders meeting scheduled for later this year.
Separately, Time Warner said Carla A. Hills, former U.S. Trade Representative, will also step down from the board in accordance with the board's retirement policy.
