OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Fit Kids Coalition announces its goal to tackle childhood obesity.
State Health Commissioner Mike Crutcher offered three tips for better health -- don't smoke, eat healthy and exercise more. He says the combination of the three will improve Oklahomans' quality of life.
The Coalition is focusing on new programs for children that will help prevent obesity in children such as a farm-to-school program.
The program would provide fresh fruits and vegetables to school cafeterias and teach children about healthy eating.
