OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- First lady Kim Henry will take part in free screenings for cholesterol and blood pressure at the state Capitol Thursday as part of the "Go Red for Women" education campaign against heart disease.

The event will be held from 9 AM until noon in the governor's large conference room on the Capitol's second floor.

Oklahoma ranks first in the nation in the number of women per capita who die of heart disease.

"Everyone needs to know the numbers when it comes to heart disease -- their cholesterol levels, triglycerides, pulse and blood pressure. This knowledge is the first step toward preventing heart disease," Mrs. Henry said.
