Tulsa Police have arrested a man in connection with an attack on young girl a few years ago. And investigators say "he's a person of interest" in the serial rapist investigation.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says the arrest came after a Crimestoppers tip. Now, 36 year old Gary Graham is being held on a complaint of burglary, attempted kidnapping and attempted child molestation.
Tulsa Police arrested Graham in connection with a 2003 attack on a girl in her bedroom apartment near 51st and Lewis. Investigators say he cut the screen on the apartment window and climbed in. That's when police say he tried to grab the 9-year old girl from her top bunk, but her younger brother fought him off.
Paperwork shows Graham's fingerprints matched ones found at the scene of the 2003 attack.
Investigators say there are similarities with this case and the serial rapist, who's connected to the attacks of at least eight children, but Tulsa Police are still investigating and won't say for sure. Tulsa Police Sgt Gary Stansill: "at this point, we can't say if he is or is not a suspect in those cases. We can only say he has been arrested for this incident."
Graham is being held in the Tulsa County jail, on a $190,000 bond.
