DURANT, Okla. (AP) -- The search continues for a murder suspect who escaped from the Bryan County Jail last week.

Kevin Leon Cross was being held on murder kidnapping, drug and other charges when he and two other inmates escaped Saturday night by overpowering a guard. The other two escapees were caught within hours.

Bryan County Sheriff's Detective John Bates says Cross is believed to still be in the area because he has friends and family there.
