WASHINGTON (AP) -- US Senator Jim Inhofe is again blasting the head of the Grand River Dam Authority.
Inhofe said during a Senate committee hearing that GRDA Chief Executive and former state Senator Kevin Easley "appears to be using the people of Oklahoma to fill his appetite of luxury and excess."
Inhofe accused Easley of writing legislation to open the way for him to become head of the GRDA and he criticized Easley's purchase of three boats and a helicopter for the agency.
Inhofe also called the purchase of a Sea Doo a "water toy" for Easley.
Inhofe says he's upset because his father-in-law helped write legislation establishing the GRDA. Inhofe also has a home on Grand Lake and is upset the authority raised the annual dock fee for boats from $25 to $100.
Easley says in a prepared statement that he'll be happy to talk with Inhofe, but doesn't want to debate in the media.
