OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Four apartments are damaged after a three-alarm blaze at a south Oklahoma City apartment complex, where residents pulled one man from his burning apartment.
Passers-by on both Interstates 240 and 35 saw the fire's flames shooting from the roof and breezeway of Crossroads Village Apartments about 6:15 PM Sunday.
Oklahoma City fire district Chief Chris Jackson says firefighters arrived to find flames shooting up the side of the building.
He says firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.
Jackson says the man who was seen asleep inside his apartment had to be carried out by neighbors and was taken to Integris Baptist Medical Center.
His name wasn't released and his condition was unknown, but Jackson says his injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.
