William Dobovolny will stand trial for kidnapping and murdering a 9-year-old Okemah girl.

The decision came down Thursday afternoon at his preliminary hearing in Okfuskee County.

Records show Dobrovolny confessed to killing Katie Middleton last August. According to court documents, Katie left her house to go to a grocery store and got into a car with Dobrovolny.

He told authorities he attacked Katie in the car, and then dumped her body in a pond.
