NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Attorneys dismissed 10 potential jurors in the Cleveland County trial for a man accused of killing a University of Oklahoma ballerina in 1996.
About 20 others had been questioned in the judge's chambers Tuesday about their feelings on the death penalty. They were told to return to court for more questioning in the case against 27-year-old Anthony Sanchez.
Sanchez is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, sodomy and rape stemming from the death of 21-year-old Juli Busken.
Jury selection for Sanchez's trial began Monday. The selection is expected to take most of the week.
Sanchez faces a possible death sentence if convicted.
