An investigation is underway into the shooting of a man in Tulsa.
Officers were called to the 2700 block of North Cheyenne shortly after 7 PM Monday. At that location, Tulsa Police found a burning car; they also found a man they believe to be about 25-years-old.
Firefighters broke out a window of the car and pulled the man to safety. He'd been shot in the head. Nearby, officers found more than a dozen shell casings in the street and in a yard.
Detectives are trying to pull all the pieces together. Tulsa Police Captain Steve Bayles: "just from the scene evidence, it looks like that the gunman would’ve been down the street to our west a little ways and for some reason he ended up down here into that, into the fence."
Tulsa Police still aren't sure why the victim was in the neighborhood. At last word, he was in critical condition.
