LAKE HULAH, Okla. (AP) -- Osage County authorities say a deputy sheriff shot and killed a man near Lake Hulah late Sunday evening.
Investigators say deputies were investigating a domestic violence report in the community of Whipporwill Point just northwest of the lake when they were confronted by a man armed with a gun. One deputy opened fire, killing 44-year-old Patrick Grundy.
The deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is being asked to look into the shooting.
