Edmond woman accused of embezzling from hospital

GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) -- An Edmond woman is accused of stealing more than $190,000 from Logan Medical Center in Guthrie.<br/><br/>Theresa Mitchell is charged with 95 felony and one misdemeanor count of embezzlement.

GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) -- An Edmond woman is accused of stealing more than $190,000 from Logan Medical Center in Guthrie.

Theresa Mitchell is charged with 95 felony and one misdemeanor count of embezzlement. She worked at the hospital for four years as a staff accountant before being fired.

Prosecutors say Mitchell claims she borrowed the money because of financial pressures.

The embezzlement was discovered during an annual audit in December.
