OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Nearly 600 people will lose their jobs when Delta Faucet closes its plant in Chickasha this year.
A spokeswoman for Masco Corporation -- Delta Faucet's parent company -- says company officials announced to its 591 employees the plant closure will come in the next nine to 11 months.
Spokeswoman Sharon Rothwell says the closure is part of a corporate-wide initiative to cut costs through consolidation.
She says the Chickasha plant is the only one targeted for job reductions.
The plant produces residential and commercial faucets.
