Since 2003, nearly three dozen children across the nation have died after being left alone in a vehicle.
Now, one Tulsa hospital wants to make sure the babies leaving there are safe. Beginning in February, the parents of each baby leaving the Hillcrest Helmerich Women's Center will receive a "Baby Bee Safe" clip to remind them their baby is in the car.
The clip is attached to the baby's car seat where it remains as long as the seat is empty. Once the baby is placed in the seat, the clip is removed and snapped on the driver's key ring.
It's a simple way to remind a driver the baby is in the car.
