Tulsa Police are working a child molestation case and it is the kind of case the sex offender registration law was designed to prevent.
James Hingey is now in the Tulsa County jail. Police say he was convicted in Alabama for molesting an 8-year-old and 10-year-old and after prison, he moved back to Tulsa. That was six weeks ago and he never registered.
Officers learned about him only after a neighbor accused him of molesting her 11-year-old son. Hingey is currently charged with failing to register.
Tulsa Police expect molestation and sodomy charges to be added.
