A state lawmaker is renewing his call for a statewide ban on pit bull terriers. This follows the death of 4-year-old Cody Tyler Adair.
Cody was attacked by a pit bull terrier at his uncle's Bartlesville home last week. Representative Paul Wesselhoft of Moore says his legislation would require owners of pit bulls to keep the dogs in a solid structure.
In addition, he wants warning signs displayed, and owners to be at least 21-years-old.
He also wants them to have a $100,000 liability insurance policy for each pit bull terrier.
