A huge piece of Tulsa history will soon be available to the public.
Thousand of vintage photographs taken by Beryl Ford have been acquired by the Tulsa Historical Society and the Tulsa Rotary Club. Those photos are being scanned and archived by the Tulsa City County Library and can soon be accessed through their website.
The Tulsa Historical Society will manage, preserve and display the collection. Linda Saferite with the Tulsa City County Library: "The photographs are buildings, people, cars, street scenes oil wells, everything you can imagine about life in the past."
A few of the items are unique to Gilcrease, Philbrook and the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. Those items will be donated to those organizations.
