An early Friday morning fire destroys two trailer homes, leaving two people homeless. It happened shortly after midnight at the Mingo RV Park in the 800 block of North Mingo.

When firefighters arrived, they found two trailer homes in flames. Propane in some tanks was fueling the fire.

Crews worked quickly to put out the fire, despite some water problems. Tulsa Fire Captain Andy Teeter: “We did have some trouble getting water initially, but we were able to use water off the trucks and we called in additional companies from other stations to actually shuttle us water.”

The people living in the homes got out before the fire spread. They were treated for smoke inhalation, but were not hospitalized.

Damage is estimated at $50,000. The cause is under investigation.
