A Tulsa businessman is hoping you can help catch a thief, caught on tape burglarizing his store. It happened at the 99 Cent Outlet Store in the 7400 block of East Admiral on Christmas morning.

The suspect smashed some display cases and got away with quite a haul. It was all caught on a surveillance camera. The owner got a call from his alarm company, so he logged onto the Internet, dialed up his camera and watched it all happen.

He called Tulsa Police, but the man seen on the tape was gone when they got there.

Billy DeVan says this is the fourth time the store has been robbed. "We need more security in this area. They need to be patrolling more, because all the businesses I talk to, ya know, we always have a fear in our minds when we go home that there will be a call coming from our security company any time.”

A smashed door and empty shelves are what's left behind. DeVan is still taking stock, but estimates he lost between $15,000 and $25,000 in merchandise, mostly jewelry.

If you know anything that can help police, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
