BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Adult charges are planned in Arkansas against two juveniles who were arrested in Oklahoma for trying to run over a police officer in a robbery attempt.
Police initially thought the November 20th incident was an accident. Then two of the three people accused confessed to using a stolen truck to try to strike and rob Rogers, Arkansas, patrolman Shane Knaust. The officer, who was off duty and not in uniform, was injured.
One of the juveniles, 17-year-old Travis McCombs of Bentonville, is charged with aggravated robbery, theft by receiving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
The other two juveniles were arrested in Oklahoma in a different truck, and police say that vehicle was also stolen.
