The lights are back on in east Tulsa after a small plane clipped some power lines.

It happened around Thursday night near 145th East Avenue and 11th Street. Electricity went out to 2,000 customers for a little over an hour. The severed power lines also sparked a grass fire, which was quickly put out.

Witnesses heard the plane snap the wires. Amber Watkins: "We hear a big ka-boom, ran out of the barn and seen wires falling over there."

The plane landed safely at Harvey Young Airport.
