DURANT, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Texas boy was killed when he was thrown off a 4-wheeler in southern Oklahoma.

5-year-old Brandon -M- Trammell of Forney suffered massive injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on private property near Durant around 3:20 Thursday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Brandon was riding on a 4-wheeler with 17-year-old Alanna Trammell and 13-year-old Micha Marsh in a grassy pasture when the vehicle hit a big bump and threw the boy off.

Troopers say the vehicle then rolled, threw the other two occupants off and ran over the boy.

Both girls were treated by paramedics at the scene and released.

The patrol says the vehicle isn't equipped with seatbelts and none of the children wore helmets.
