A 15-year-old teenager has been arrested in Muskogee for the alleged rape of an 8-year-old girl.

Investigators say Jesse James Wade assaulted the child over an extended period of time. Muskogee County prosecutors want to try Wade as an adult. He's scheduled to be in court next month.

Wade's family moved to Muskogee from Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina.
