Changes are coming to girls' softball in Jenks. Last week, the News on 6 told you about a conflict over who should govern the sport there, and have rights to the city's softball complex.
Now the Jenks city council has decided. Monday night, the council voted unanimously to terminate its lease with the current league board and start negotiating a lease with the newly-formed Jenks Girls Softball Federation.
Kim Hendrix who has coached youth softball in Jenks for 4 years fought for the change and will head the new league. She says she wanted a greater voice in how her daughter's league is run.
