According to the Oklahoma Child Death Review Board, traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for Oklahoma children.
The board says in 2004, the deaths of 120 children involved motor vehicles. Seat belts and other restraints were not used in 43 cases. The report also found 92 deaths were due to natural causes.
And 48 children died as the result of abuse or neglect.
