OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A group circulating petitions for a statewide vote on a proposal to limit government spending faces a Monday deadline.
Oklahomans in Action have until then to get about 10,000 more signatures of registered voters. The petition must have the signatures of 219,564 registered voters to force a vote on the proposed constitutional amendment.
The amendment called the Taxpayers Bill of Rights would limit state government spending to a formula based on population growth and inflation.
