IDABEL, Okla. (AP) _ A Haworth man is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his pregnant girlfriend.

John David Noah is charged in the deaths of Shalonda Bendler and the fetus.

Bendler was found dead at the scene of a car crash last Monday and authorities at first thought she died in the accident. But officials later discovered she had been stabbed before the car she was riding in crashed into a parked tractor-trailer.

Investigators say Noah and Bendler had been arguing throughout the night before Bendler's death.

Noah suffered several broken bones in the car crash and is hospitalized in Tulsa.
